Hart got into comedy after appearing at an amateur night bar at a club in Philadelphia. He did not become a big hit right away. His career got off to a rocky start as he was repeatedly booed off stage, and he even had a piece of chicken thrown at him. Hart’s debut performance was at the Philadelphia comedy club The Laff House. He was trying to emulate other comedians, like Chris Tucker, at this early stage of his career. He eventually recognized that wasn’t working and revamped his act.
Hart launched his “I’m a Grown Little Man” comedy tour in 2009, followed by “Seriously Funny” in 2010, “Laugh at My Pain” in 2011, and “Let Me Explain” in 2013. The last two were also released in theaters as feature films.
Hart began his “What Now?” Tour in Texas in April 2015. Universal Pictures announced in July of that year that “Kevin Hart: What Now?” will be released theatrically on October 14, 2016.
Hart’s initial popularity came after he debuted on Comedy Central with “I’m a Grown Little Man” and “Seriously Funny.” From then he won parts and achieved greater fame in films such films as “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Soul Plane,” and “Little Fockers.”
Kevin has been in scores of films and television series since then, all while maintaining one of the busiest national comedy touring schedules in the business. His films have grossed more than $1.3 billion at the global box office as of this writing. “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” , “The Secret Life of Pets”, and “Central Intelligence” are other prominent films.
